Slip-ups From World Leaders Believing They're in Private
Recently, Indonesia's leader Prabowo Subianto believed he was a confidential discussion with American leader Donald Trump during Middle East peace talks in Egypt.
Instead, a live microphone situation revealed Prabowo requesting Trump to arrange a call with his son Don Jr, both of whom hold positions at the family business.
This was just one in a series of gaffes committed by world leaders when they assume they're off the record.
Below are several additional noteworthy blunders:
Transplant Procedures and Everlasting Life
During a defense ceremony in Beijing in early autumn, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russia's head Vladimir Putin were overheard discussing organ transplants as a method for prolonging life.
"Vital organs can be repeatedly transplanted. The more you extend your life, the younger you become, and you can even reach eternal life," Putin's interpreter was recorded stating.
Xi, who was not visible, responded in Chinese: "Experts forecast that in this century people may live to 150 years old."

'Sea Rising at Your Door'
Former Australian border protection chief Peter Dutton faced criticism in 2015 when he joked about the plight of people in the Pacific experiencing ocean encroachment.
Dutton was conversing with former PM Tony Abbott, who had just returned from environmental talks with regional heads in Port Moresby.
Noting that a migration discussion was running on "Cape York time", Abbott responded: "We had a bit of that up in Port Moresby."
Dutton added: "Time doesn't mean anything when you're about to have water lapping at your door."
These remarks provoked anger from Pacific Islands and climate activists, while the opposition Labor party demanded Dutton to issue an apology.

'Bigoted Woman'
As Labour prime minister Gordon Brown was campaigning in 2010, he encountered a voter who questioned him on immigration and the economic situation.
Still wired up to a broadcast microphone when he got into his vehicle, Brown was recorded stating: "That went terribly – they should never have put me with that woman. Whose idea was that? Ridiculous."
Asked what she had said, he replied: "Everything, she was just a prejudiced person."
The scandal dominated headlines for an extended period and Brown went on to lose the political race.
'I Cannot Bear Netanyahu. He Lies.'
Former US president Barack Obama was in discussion at the international conference in Cannes in 2011 with France's leader Nicolas Sarkozy when their comments about Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu were captured by a live microphone.
Sarkozy said: "I can't stand Netanyahu. He's a liar."
According to a account from a French interpreter quoted by Reuters, Obama replied: "You're fed up with him but I have to deal with him frequently than you."
'Major League ***hole'
A vintage recording incident from former White House hopeful George W. Bush happened as he made a negative comment about a journalist from The New York Times.
The GOP candidate was didn't realize that a microphone was live when he turned to Dick Cheney at a political event and remarked, "There's Adam Clymer, complete jerk from the New York Times."
Cheney responded: "Absolutely, that's true, big time."
