President Macron and His Wife to Present Expert Documentation in Federal Court Regarding Brigitte Macron's Birth Sex

The French head of state Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte are set to present scientific evidence in a federal court to establish that Brigitte is not biologically male, per their legal representative overseeing their slander legal action.

Context

The Macrons initiated a defamation suit in mid-2025 against political media personality a US-based personality, alleging that she spread false claims to increase her audience reach and obtain income.

The commentator declared that she would “risk” her professional reputation on the assertion that Brigitte Macron is assigned male at birth and previously used the name a male identity. The personality has since repeated these allegations across multiple podcasts.

Court Approach

The Macrons’ attorney confirmed that scientific testimony would be introduced in court to disprove the accusations. Although the nature of the support were not disclosed, Clare made clear that the couple is ready to show definitively that the claims are incorrect.

“Expert evidence will be introduced that will be fact-based in form,” the attorney commented. “It is a procedure that Brigitte will have to subject herself to in a very public way.”

Additionally added that pictures showing Mrs. Macron pregnant and caring for her three kids would be presented as the proof.

Family Background

According to the court documents, the person in question is the first lady’s older brother who lives in Amiens. Trogneux according to sources attended President Macron’s presidential events in 2017 and 2022.

Mrs. Macron, in her seventies, is two decades older than her President Macron. The couple met when the future president was a teenager at a school where Brigitte taught a drama workshop. She has offspring from a prior relationship and seven grandchildren.

Earlier Litigation

Related allegations surfaced in France in the past, prompting earlier legal action against bloggers. While Brigitte and her brother originally prevailed in a libel claim, an appeals court eventually overturned the decision.

The new lawsuit against Owens claims that she dismissed credible proof and in its place amplified false narratives.

Her attorneys have entered a request to reject the complaint, claiming that the venue is improper. In spite of the response, Owens has reiterated her allegations.
